Georgian Bay Cremation Services Ltd. was formed in 1996 with a proposal to The Village of Flesherton Council to build, equip and operate a crematorium facility on the property of the Flesherton Cemetery. The proposal was quickly adopted by the council.

A remarkable 95% of regional funeral homes surveyed were in favour of such a service being located in Flesherton. They got their wish, after a long approvals process, when construction began in 2001. The crematorium was completed later the same year.

Today, we are very proud of our ability to fulfil the same obligations, and provide all the services, that were promised in the original proposal.
